CHESTERFIELD, Mo. — A Chesterfield man is facing a number of charges after police mentioned he kidnapped and sexually abused a teenage girl.
The Chesterfield Police Department and FBI had been investigating a report of a kidnapping involving a younger girl from out of state which led them to 38-year-old John Low’s home Wednesday.
Officials arrested Low at his house and located the younger girl.
According to charging paperwork, the 15-year-old girl was reported lacking from Manhattan, Kansas, on Monday.
When police searched the girl’s cellphone, it confirmed conversations with a consumer on the web site Omegle. The consumer used #runaway and informed the girl to manufacturing facility reset her cellphone earlier than leaving it behind. Police related the consumer’s IP handle to Low.
When police discovered the girl at Low’s house, she was carrying a canine collar, the paperwork acknowledged. Low informed police he was in search of a long-term relationship with the girl.
When police searched his house, they discovered a number of sex toys, retraining units and toddler toys.
Low was charged with statutory rape, statutory sodomy and youngster molestation. He can be facing federal charges of coercion and enticement of a minor, transportation with intent to interact in felony sexual exercise and journey with intent to interact in illicit sexual conduct.
He is being held with out bond.
