And this month, GLAMOUR is teaming up with IL MAKIAGE to bring back Black Beauty Unlocked. It’s the third event in the series, but this time it’s bigger, with two days worth of events.
Taking place across two evenigs at London’s AllBright Mayfair on 28 and 29 September, 2021, the events will provide insightful panel talks with experts in the field. On the agenda: the beauty concerns Black women face – demystifying them and providing useful tips and professional guidance on everything from hair, skincare and makeup to cosmetic treatments for Black skin, all while enjoying some delicious canapés and drinks.
The first event in partnership with IL MAKIAGE and will be hosted on Tuesday 28 September. Additionally, the panel will tackle the hard-hitting health issues Black women face, from childbirth and motherhood to stigmas around therapy in the Black community and beyond. The aim here is to open up dialogue on even the most taboo of topics, creating a safe space for Black women to voice their opinions and concerns.
